The สมัคร ufabet reports that Manchester City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain will leave his position at the end of the season.

Begiristain had originally planned to step down from management at the age of 55, but he has devoted so much of his energy to working with Pep Guardiola and the club’s project that he is now 60. He turned 60

in August and has decided to step down at the end of the season, with the Citizens well aware of this and not standing in his way. It is

believed that City have already reached an agreement to replace Begiristain, with the job set to officially begin early next year.

Alongside the hunt for a new director of football to largely oversee recruitment proceedings and transfer activity at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City will simultaneously be hunting for their new head coach and the best talents to strengthen their playing squad.

Begiristain will also play a key role in helping the club find his successor. Begiristain will continue in the same role during the first six months of the transfer to his agent.

Previously, Begiristain worked at Barcelona as technical director from 2008 until 2010.

He has been with the City project since 2012, where he reunited with City CEO Ferran Soriano, having worked together at Barca.
