Real Madrid defender David Alaba is delighted with his El Clasico debut and scores for the club.

The Real Madrid football thrashed Barcelona 2-1 in La Liga on Sunday. He leaving Los Blancos second behind Real Sociedad and playing one game less.

After the game, the Austrian defensively revealed that he was very happy with the goals scored in the El Clasico. And The most importantly, helped the team overcome their opponents.

“It was a good feeling, my first Clasico game and scoring my first goal, I was very lucky and grateful to be able to enjoy this moment. But the team’s victory is the most important.

“We all enjoyed the victory. We defended well, Barcelona had more possession which made it difficult. But we go on the pitch with confidence and control the tension. It is one of our strengths.”

Victory was Real’s fourth straight in Clasicos and also Ancelotti’s first at the Camp Nou in six visits, with his side devastating on the counter-attack and the result moving them provisionally top of LaLiga with 20 points.

“We played a practical game. We knew what we need to do and the boys executed the game plan perfectly,” Ancelotti said.

“Our team enjoy playing on the counter-attack and I have to take advantage of that.”

With seven minutes of injury time added on, Real doubled their lead when Marc-Andre ter Stegen saved a shot from Marco Asensio from another counter-attack. But Vazquez was quicker than Gerard Pique to pounce on the rebound to score.
